Woolway to the firm’s Investment Banking team as a Managing Director, where he will be responsible for sourcing, executing, and financing strategic transactions. Mr. Woolway has over 30 years of investment banking experience and has executed a wide variety of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and public and private financings. Mr. Woolway represents a key hire in deepening CriticalPoint’s food, agriculture, and restaurant coverage. He is focused on these sectors and has completed numerous transactions across the food supply and customer chain. CriticalPoint’s collective experience in advising, sourcing, and investing across a wide variety of industries is a key differentiator resulting in value creation for its client base. Mr. Woolway joined CriticalPoint from B. Riley Securities. He has also held positions at FocalPoint Partners and Trinity Capital. Previously, he was a senior investment banker at the bulge bracket firms Salomon Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and J.P. Morgan, where he was head of the Southwest region. Mr. Woolway also worked at Wasserstein Perella and Relational Advisors.
Mr. Woolway graduated with honors in Economics from Harvard University where he was an All-Ivy linebacker on the football team and was awarded the Francis H. Burr Scholarship, signifying the school’s top scholar-athlete. He received an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar (top 10% of the class).
