Hitesh is responsible for building and growing CriticalPoint’s Valuation Practice. He brings more than 18 years of experience, including 12 years at EY, where he led complex valuations for financial reporting in the areas of goodwill impairments (ASC 350), purchase price allocations (ASC 805), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and portfolio valuations (ASC 820). His expertise includes strategic valuations, tax valuations (IRC 409a), estate and gift tax valuations, ESOP valuations, fairness opinions, and corporate finance advisory.
Hitesh has supported multi-billion-dollar transactions across industries including retail and consumer products, technology, digital infrastructure, aerospace, healthcare, and logistics, and has significant experience working with middle-market companies, entrepreneurs, and business owners on valuations, capital budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining EY, Hitesh advised the CFO at Rio Tinto on valuations, corporate finance, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital budgeting. Previously, Hitesh was a technology consultant in London, UK and India.
Hitesh earned his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation (ASA – BV).
